Four classic Syphon Filter games have been rated for PS4 and PS5 in Korea, as picked up by Gematsu. The ratings include Syphon Filter, Syphon Filter 2, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow. These games will likely be coming to the revamped PlayStation Plus Premium when it launches in June.
Sony Bend Studio (formerly Eidetic) developed the Syphon Filter series starting with the original first released for the PS1 in 1999. They also developed its sequel which released the following year. Bend would go on to develop both 2006’s Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror and 2007’s Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow too.

Interestingly, the ratings don’t mention two other titles in the series released between the second game and Dark Mirror: 2001’s Syphon Filter 3 and 2004’s Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain.
As many might’ve suspected, these games will probably arrive on the revamped PlayStation Plus tiered subscription service when it launches in June. The highest tier, being Premium, will offer access to over 340 games from the PS1, PS2, PS3 (via streaming only) and PSP generations. In countries like South Africa that don’t support cloud streaming entirely yet, Premium will be rebranded as Deluxe, presumably removing the PS3 library but offered at a cheaper price point.
It’s possible that we’ll see more ratings appear online leading closer to the subscription service’s launch, which could give us a good indication of the content we’ll be getting as part of the pricier packages. While some might know Bend by Days Gone today, their acclaimed Syphon Filter series returning is certainly great news for nostalgic fans.
In related news, Bend is reportedly working on a new game for the current generation that’s a spiritual successor to Syphon Filter.
