Comic Con Africa is excited to announce a partnership with Afro Geek Fest to expand on the diverse festival for fans of comic books and geek culture in Africa. This collaboration is set to celebrate and amplify the voices of African creators, showcasing the richness and uniqueness of African comics and geek culture.
The inaugural Afro Geek Pavilion, a brand-new feature to Comic Con Africa in the pop culture hall, will be the embodiment of this partnership. The area – in addition to other elements on the Comic Con Africa floor – serves as an opportunity for afro geeks, creators, and fans to unite and share their passion for comics and all aspects of geek culture. Attendees can look forward to relevant exhibitors in this area that uplift and redefine what it means to be an African geek as well as content such as discussions and panels hosted on the pop content stage. The pavilion will cover all aspects of afro geek culture, including anime, cosplay, gaming, and pop culture.

We believe that representation in mainstream pop culture matters, and we are committed to creating a space where African creators and fans can come together to celebrate their shared love of comics and geek culture.”
