We got the opportunity to chat with YouTubers The Anime Man and Akidearest at Comic Con Africa 2023, two of the most popular anime content creators on the platform. The duo went into some detail about living in Japan, the cultural significance of anime in the country and cleared up some misconceptions about how the world sees Japan, especially Tokyo.
Having a lot of first-hand experience after staying in Japan for several years, The Anime Man and Akidearest were happy to discuss the impact of anime globally and how it went from a niche medium to a powerhouse industry over the last decade.
