Comic Con Africa Online – Everything You Need to Know

Comic Con Africa Online kicks off on 24 September 2020 and marks the convention’s first-ever online stream. Given the current ongoing pandemic, it was only fitting that the show was transformed into an online event. But who is attending the show and what can you expect from the festivities?

Between 24 and 27 September, the online convention plans to host a range of celebrity guest speakers, 14 films and even a large focus on community creations. Best of all? The entire show is free. There are even limited edition Funko POPS available again this year which can be purchased through various retailers in SA.

First off you want to head over here to register for the online festivities. Registration is necessary in order to log into the CCA site to watch and participate in the show. Registration is free and only takes a few minutes.

Comic Con Africa Online 2020 Times and Dates

  • When: 24 September – 27 September 2020
  • Time: 10:00 – 18:00 daily (KidsCon ends at 15:00)

Where Can You Watch and When?

Users want to head over to the official live.comicconafrica.online site in order to log in and explore the “galaxy” of activities. It is there that users will find all the different items to click on which will take them to the live stream, esports tournament, or interactive events. Comic Con Africa has not shared any specific details on what is available but by the look of things, you can look forward to the following.

According to the FAQ, the show will host a range of streams across these “planets”. In addition, there will be a virtual exhibitors hall where viewers can use their mouse and keyboard to walk around ask questions. The organizers recommend using a device with a mouse and keyboard in order to enjoy this experience. However, the show is viewable on mobile and desktop devices. There is also an online shop where users can purchase art and other merchandise.

Unfortunately, Comic Con Africa has not shared any schedule for the event at all. I guess users will just have to log in and see what the day has planned across the various activities. We will update this post if we receive any sort of schedule.

Like any other Comic Con, the online version of this year’s Comic Con Africa will play host to a range of guest appearances. The organizers have not shared when viewers can expect to watch them. Comic On Africa Funko POPS

If you are looking for a fancy Funko POPS to purchase during Comic Con Africa Online then you can do just that. The expo has a range of limited-edition versions available including a Baby Yoda, Captain America and more. These are available from BT Games and Cosmic Comics South Africa during the show. Here are some available this weekend.
