Comic Con Cape Town is bringing a handful of talented international guests to the event this year, from the likes of The Walking Dead‘s Ross Marquand to The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’s Tati Gabrielle, among others. Joining them is another well-known face in the Marvel world: Jason R. Moore, best known for his role as Curtis Hoyle on The Punisher. Here’s a quick guest spotlight about Moore’s career so far in Hollywood to get you ready for Comic Con Cape Town.
Marvel’s The Punisher is one of the studio’s more popular television series. Casting Jon Bernthal as the Frank Castle, the show continues the story threads introduced in Daredevil and follows The Punisher on his path of vengeance as he uncovers the truth behind what really happened to his family while questioning his role in society as a vigilante. Moore stars alongside Bernthal as Curtis Hoyle, one of Frank’s closest friends and a former U.S. Navy SARC.

Jason R. Moore was born in Kingston, Jamaica but mainly grew up in Albany, New York. After graduating college, he moved to New York City to pursue acting. Initially, Moore landed small roles on television shows such as Guilding Light, As the World Turns and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. He would eventually find roles in other series like NBC’s Kings and The Unusuals.
Back in 2010, Moore secured a small role in the action-fantasy movie The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, which starred Nicolas Cage, Jay Baruchel and Alfred Molina. From then on, Moore continued to land roles in short films and television shows before catching his big break with Marvel, who cast him as Curtis in The Punisher. As of writing, Moore has starred in 21 episodes across two seasons of the series.
