Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time to Feature Offline Multiplayer

The upcoming Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time could feature an offline multiplayer mode according to the PlayStation Store. While Activision and Toys for Bob did not share any details about the mode last week during the reveal, the store listing claims it will feature an offline 2-4 player experience. By the look of the game, it could be a couch co-op mode or perhaps something else.

While CTR: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled included a split-screen multiplayer mode, the upcoming game is a platformer and previous entries in the series did not have a co-op mode. It would be pretty awesome if Activision would to include a sort of Crash Bash component in the game. For those who don’t know, Crash Bash was a PS One game that featured a Mario Party-like experience. It was technically a PvP game but the mini-games were fun and challenging for friends and family.

With the new roster of characters and returning ones in Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, it could work. However, we will have to wait and see if the mode is actually real or perhaps the listing is a mistake.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a direct sequel to the classic “Warped” game. It follows the return of Dr Neo Cortex and N Tropy who have escaped the clutches of time and now want to take revenge on Crash and Coco. Crash now has new abilities thanks to powerful Quantum Masks which allow him to slow down time and even defy gravity.

The game launches on 2 October 2020 for PS4 and Xbox One. Take a look at the shiny gameplay trailer down below;
