Crash Bandicoot is seeing some major popularity spikes in recent years. First, it was the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy then Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. King, the minds behind Candy Crush announced Crash Bandicoot Mobile for Android and iOS. The game is an endless runner similar to the likes of Tempe Run and Sonic Dash.
The game is now available in specific regions as the soft-launch began yesterday. It launched in Malaysia for “beta testing”.According to King, it will soon roll out worldwide. It is an endless running where you need to run as far as possible by avoiding obstacles and not losing lives.
The gameplay footage on YouTube shows a polished experience with boss fights and everything we love about the series. This includes Nitro crates, supporting characters and a catchy soundtrack.
Crash Bandicoot Mobile’s description on the Google Play Store states you will run through Turtle Woods, Lost City and Temple Ruins. Players will collect items for Coco Bandicoot’s base of operations and ingredients to make bombs and rayguns.
The game will no doubt include microtransactions as any mobile game does. But we will have to get our hands on it before we know more. The beta for Crash Bandicoot Mobile is only available on Android and in Malaysia for now but King will no doubt release it for iOS in the future. More territories will also become available in the weeks ahead. In the meantime, take a look at some gameplay down below;
