Crash Team Rumble Gets Release Date and Closed Beta

Activision has announced that its strange 4V4 Crash Bandicoot game will release on 20 June for PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Crash Team Rumble will also get a closed beta taking place from 20-24 April on all platforms. However, you’ll need to pre-order the game in order to access this closed beta.

The Crash Team Rumble beta will feature five characters to choose from – Crash, Coco, Tawna, Neo Cortex and Dingodile. It will also include three maps to play on.

At the moment, Crash Team Rumble will launch in two game versions. There’s the Standard Edition for $29,99 / R529 and the Deluxe Edition for $39,99 / R699. Both versions include closed beta access and a Premium Battle Pass for Season 1 of the game. The Deluxe Edition includes a Premium Battle Pass for Season 2 as well as a 25-tier unlock for Season 1. It also comes with a Digital Proto Pack which includes block skins and equippable cosmetics.

In Crash Team Rumble, players will work together to bank the most Wumpa fruit in their drop-off zones while preventing the opposing team from doing the same thing. Characters are divided into various roles including Blocker, Booster or Scorer. Each character also has their own Relic Powers which act as unique abilities.

If anything, Crash Team Rumble looks like quite a step in a different direction for developer Toys For Bob. The studio previously worked on the Crash Bandicoot N.Sane Trilogy, Spyro Reignited Trilogy and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. Check out the trailer down below:
