The Crysis Remastered PS4 release date has been leaked ahead of the official reveal this week. EA Games plans on releasing a full gameplay trailer and new information for the upcoming remaster on 1 July. However, a usual the Microsoft Store listing beat them to the punch. According to the store, the Crysis Remastered release date is 23 July 2020 for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game will come in 7GB too meaning it has not received higher resolution textures. The original game was just over 6GB.
Along with the release date, some fancy screenshots were released at the same time. These give us a glimpse at the upgraded environments and some visual tweaks too. While its nothing groundbreaking, the game still looks as gorgeous as ever.
According to the store listing, the game includes “remastered graphics optimized for a new generation of hardware.” While the PS4 and Xbox One are far from “new”, it is the first time the series is landing on the hardware. The listing also states the game supports 4K Ultra HD as well as HDR10. These two visuals changes will provide a world of difference for the game.
EA Games plans on showcasing some gameplay tomorrow but the cat is out of the bag now with the Crysis Remastered release date out in the wild. However, keep your eyes peeled for the trailer dropping tomorrow.
