We live in a time where it seems that review bombing is the new norm. If gamers don’t like something, they drop negative reviews in the thousands and spam it with the hopes that the developer or publisher will change their minds. The CS: GO review bombing commenced soon after Valve made the game free-to-play and released the Battle Royale mode, Danger Zone.

The CS: GO review bombing has left a big dent on the game’s user review rating as it is only “mostly positive” right now and I am sure those who plan to continue review bombing wants it to go into the negative. At the time of writing, the negative user reviews are 30,000 strong four days after the massive CS: GO update. You can check out all the recent reviews on this page.

Some of the reviews do note real concerns, from all the new players to a believed influx of hackers and more. However, it is important to note that only members with Prime will get matched together. Those who owned the game prior to the update will also get upgraded to Prime status automatically. Sure, you can purchase Prime status with a new account, but that at least requires some effort.

There are quite a number of reviews that seem legitimate, with a lot of players having hundreds of hours in the game. However, there are also a lot of “gems” like this one:

Please Refund me my money, it’s free to play now. Please coment if yu agree… – 1.3 Hours Played

The thing is, there’s simply no way review bombing CS: GO will help as Valve won’t suddenly make the game buy-to-play again, heck, GabeN can’t even count to 3. Joking aside, review bombing CS: GO seems pretty pointless at the moment but I guess it is just the day and age we live in.

What do you think about the CS: GO review bombing going on right now and how do you feel about the game going free-to-play and Danger Zone as a mode? Let us know in the comment section below.
