Cyberpunk 2077 Cutscenes Will All Be First-Person – Including Sex Scenes

While Cyberpunk 2077 is a first-person game, up to now we have all been under the impression that cutscenes would be delivered from a third-person perspective. The emphasis on character creation and customization made us believe this was the case. Why would CD Projekt Red have the ability to be genderfluid if we cannot see our player?

It seems despite that being the case and previous gameplay showcasing the main character “V”, cutscenes in Cyberpunk 2077 will indeed be first-person including the sex scenes too.

The news was confirmed on the official CD Projekt Red forum where Shavod posted a screenshot of an official Twitter conversation the user had with the Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter account. When asked whether or not the cutscenes were from a FPP (first-person perspective) the account replied: “immersion is very important to us, so yes, cutscenes are FPP”.

When asked about the Cyberpunk 2077 sex scenes; “And what about sex scenes”? The account simply replied “Yes”. Even though the news points to a possible first-person driven game through both gameplay and the story, this does not mean the game is 100% first-person. According to the forums and what we know about the upcoming game, certain abilities and events will see the camera leave the player’s eye position and showcase the full model of the player.

Players will still get to see their characters quite often but it seems that CD Projekt Red is going for more immersion than we thought. We will have to see how this plays out when the game releases in early 2020.
