The Cyberpunk 2077 reviews dropped last night and many of them have slammed the game’s buggy gameplay. In addition, every review published was played on PC due to CD Projekt RED’s restrictions against console review codes. Thankfully, the developer says that console owners don’t have anything to worry about and that after applying the Cyberpunk 2077 day one update, there’s a clear improvement on console.

For those who don’t know, there’s a hefty 43GB pre-day one update which is currently live for all platforms. However, CD Projekt RED will issue the actual day one update closer to the launch of the game. It is unclear how big this update is and when it will arrive but users can expect it to land before 10 December 2020.
If the leaked console gameplay is anything to go by, the Cyberpunk 2077 day one update is necessary in order to fix the game’s bugs and performance issues. Fabian Mario Dohla from CD Projekt RED replied to a Twitter user’s concerns regarding the console version of the game saying that after the console update, Cyberpunk 2077 is a “different game”.

CD Projekt RED has yet to announce the rollout plans for the Cyberpunk 2077 day one update including launch time and file size. We will share more news once the developer announces its plans.
