The Phantom Liberty expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 is just around the corner and fans are waiting to explore the new story content as well as the overhauled skill trees in the next update. Ahead of the expansion’s launch, new information has surfaced that states the story of Phantom Liberty will take place in the main game and won’t be standalone along with new police behaviour, skills inspired by the award-winning Netflix anime Edgerunners and much more.
As summarised by Twitter account Okami Games, Phantom Liberty‘s story will take place in the midst of Cyberpunk 2077‘s main narrative. However, players can choose to just skip to the DLC if they want. Furthermore, police will now spawn in with mounted vehicles along with MaxTac officers. Different districts will include unique police forces too. In an effort to bring more life to the world, CD Projekt Red is also adding random gun fights, car chases and gang wars to Night City.
