Cyberpunk 2077 To Receive Witcher 3-Like Expansions

Cyberpunk 2077 is releasing in April 2020 and it is no doubt everyone’s next pre-order. It appears the game will be also receiving content in the months post-launch in a similar style to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

According to Prima Games, Game UI coordinator Alvin Liu revealed that gamers can expect Cyberpunk 2077 expansions. According to the interview, CD Projekt Red will not be withholding any content from the main game but the ever-expanding story leaves room for new content.

I think we’re going to have opportunities like that as well for Cyberpunk 2077.”[/perfectpullquote]

Throughout the game, players will encounter characters and see them develop over time. The ending will leave room for additional storytelling that can possibly be expanded with extra content and expansion packs.

Liu explains that the ending will be very rewarding and there will be no withholding of story content to sell to players in the future. We will get the whole, full value game.

Should Cyberpunk 2077 expansions be released, they will most likely expand the game and characters into new territories similar to how The Witcher 3 did. We won’t be surprised if the game releases with a bucket load of free DLC too which CD Projekt Red did for The Witcher 3’s release.

Armour, story chapters and rewarding side quests offered a few extra hours of free game time and were not divided by pre-order incentives and bonuses either. CD Projekt Red strives to put the players first and the same will be said for Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 releases on 16 April 2020 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
