We know that Cyberpunk 2077 allows users to customize their genitals. At the start of the game, you can select a range of penis sizes, add a vagina or go completely smooth in your nether region by removing all sexual organs. You can also select a range of breast sizes and nipples too. At first, I was pretty excited about the idea of customized genitals but it turns out, the whole feature is kind of a letdown.

Cyberpunk 2077 is not the first video game to genital customization. I often reference Conan Exiles as it was the first “oh my god look at my penis” video game I played. I am sure there are others but the game hit it out of the park. Not only could I customize it but if you remove all of your clothing, you can run around naked and physics helps dangle and bounce things around while you do it. No one here can tell me they did not teabag the ground in Conan Exiles just to see it all bounce around. Ah – good times.
While Cyberpunk 2077 tries hard to make your genitals a key component in the game, it fails to make this system remotely interesting. The best part about the character creation mode are the pubic hair designs. You can select a cloud, lightning bolt and even a heart. I could then make my pubic hair heart pink. It is fun at first.
However, there was one thing I could not wait to do in Cyberpunk 2077 and that is walk around naked. Unfortunately, you can’t. Instead of trekking around Night City in the nude and watching as people gasp at the frightening sight of my balls, the game automatically puts on magic pants. I can remove all my clothing and my character is nude in the menu system but when I look down, I have underwear on.
Now don’t get me wrong. I am not some freak who wants to look at some digital penis the whole day. I just wanted to see if this so-called “living and breathing Night City” would react to my naked butt as I walked through the club with no clothes on. Instead, the people of Night City carry on doing their drugs and dancing the night away because I am just another lunatic with underwear on in the club and not a maniac running around stark naked. CD Projekt RED missed a great opportunity for fun here.
Not only are the genital customizations pretty “meh” in the game with the lack of girth, ball size and other toggles missing, but when your pink heart-shaped pubic hair is the standout feature and you can’t even show people, I feel like I should have just chosen “none” as my genitals instead. I don’t know about you but everyone (including myself) made a big deal about the Cyberpunk 2077 genital customization and I can’t believe this is it.
Anyway, this does not ruin the game by any means but it would have been fun.
