Daredevil: Born Again Release Set For March 2025

Marvel Studios recently showed off the first trailer for the upcoming TV series Daredevil: Born Again behind closed doors at Disney Upfront 2024. Additionally, the company also shared the exciting news that it will release in March 2025, though no exact date was given.

Daredevil: Born Again is a follow-up to the acclaimed 2015 Netflix series, Daredevil. Charlie Cox will reprise his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil on the new show. He also made appearances in other MCU projects such as She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Spider-Man: No Way Home. The new series was originally meant to launch in 2024 but was pushed back due to the Hollywood writers and actors strikes last year.

Daredevil: Born Again faced a few more delays before Marvel Studios confirmed that the show would be going through a “creative reboot” with a new showrunner, Dario Scardapane. Loki’s Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead are also onboard for the show.

As for the behind closed doors footage shown at Disney Upfront 2024, shows Cox donning the iconic Daredevil suit while saying, “entire system is against you… it’s often Davis vs. Goliath.” We also get glimpses of Kingpin, Foggy and Karen. After a few action sequences, Murdock is asked “what kind of lawyer are you?” It’s not known if Disney will ever release this footage to the public, though we won’t have to wait too long to get a proper first look at Born Again.

In other MCU news, Ralph Ineson recently joined the cast of The Fantastic Four as the world devourer, Galactus. Breaking Bad actor Giancarlo Esposito has also joined the MCU, though he made it clear that he wasn’t playing Professor X, addressing previous fan-casting theories.

Last week, Disney announced that it would be reducing its output of yearly TV shows and movies after a string of poorly-received projects since Avengers: Endgame.

Daredevil: Born Again releases in March 2025.
