Days Gone is a brilliant game. While some media trashed it, we thought it was amazing and totally worth your time. It seems that the negative scores around the game did not stop PS4 owners from forking out the cash for it as it has sold quite a substantial amount of copies in 2019 beating the likes of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
According to the NPD report, Days Gone is sitting eighth in the top 10 games sold so far this year.
- Mortal Kombat 11
- Kingdom Hearts III
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2
- Anthem
- Resident Evil 2
- Super Smash Bros Ultimate
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Days Gone
- MLB 19: The Show
- Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Mortal Kombat 11 is still slaying the charts as it has remained on top since its release back in May. Days Gone has been fighting for the top spot since it was released in April only to be dethroned by Mortal Kombat 11 in May.
This is pretty impressive given Days Gone’s PS4 exclusivity and Mortal Kombat 11 is a multi-platform release. Sony has yet to disclose any real sales numbers for the game yet which is a strange compared to Marvel’s Spider-Man and God of War which Sony boasted sales of within the first month of release.
It is hard to estimate how many copies Days Gone has moved since launch but the charts show a successful launch, despite the mass amount of negative reviews surrounding the game. You can check out our review here and watch it below too.
