Days Gone New Game Plus Mode to Release Soon

Sony Bend Studio has been working on improving the PS4 exclusive title Days Gone since the game’s release with over a dozen updates that include bug fixes to adding new content in the form of challenges. Days Gone is a massive title and despite negative reviews from some critics, we loved the game giving it an 8.6/10 in our review. If you’ve already completed Deacon’s journey, there will be a very good reason to get back into the game later this month, as the developer has announced a Days Gone New Game Plus mode.

The Days Gone New Game Plus mode will go live in the next big update to the game on 13 September. Players will be able to jump back into the PS4 exclusive and this time, they will have all the advantages earned in their first playthrough, from NERO boosts to skills, recipes, credits, collectables, encampment trust, weapons and, of course, those all-important bike upgrades.

Jeff Ross, the Game Director at Bend Studio, explains what the Days Gone New Game Plus mode on the PlayStation Blog:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#1cede4″ class=”” size=”22″] New Game Plus can be started from any save game where the “I’m Never Giving Up” storyline has been completed. You can play NG+ on any difficulty level; Easy, Normal, Hard, Survival, or try it in one of our two new difficulty modes: Hard II and Survival II, regardless of the previous difficulty mode. These new difficulty modes are not specific to NG+ and can be experienced by brand-new players as well.

Perks from patches earned in challenges continue to carry over to the main game, but now they can be used in NG+ and all difficulty modes. So if you haven’t started any of the Challenge modes yet, I highly recommend going for gold in each challenge in order to maximize your gameplay perks before NG+ releases. [/perfectpullquote]

In addition to the New Game Plus Mode, players will be able to earn a few new trophies as well as test their skills in Hard II and Survival II modes. There’s also a mysterious weapon to be found from “an agent that only operates in the shadows.”
