Dead by Daylight Free PS5 and Xbox Series X Graphical Overhaul Detailed

Dead by Daylight is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X later this year along with a load of robust graphical changes. Developer Behaviour Interactive says the next-gen console versions run at 4K 60fps. In addition, they plan on creating a “remastered edition” for those who don’t own the game.

Don’t feel let down about this news. Behaviour Interactive announced that the current Dead By Daylight PS4, Xbox One and PC versions are also getting some graphical changes too. Every version of the game will be updated animations, lighting, visual effects, modelling and textures. The developer claims the graphical updates improve the immersion “tenfold” by making the environments as realistic as a scary, disturbing nightmare.

As for the Dead by Daylight PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, all current owners of the game are able to upgrade to the next-gen edition at no extra cost. In addition, players can move over to a whole different platform while keeping their progression. For example, players who own the game on PS4 can get the Xbox Series X version of the game for free and move their progress over to the console.

This is thanks to the new cross-progression system implemented into Dead By Daylight recently. This allows players to move progress across between Nintendo Switch, Stadia and PC through Steam. By the sound of things, this system is also coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Behaviour Interactive released a short trailer touching on the new graphical changes arriving in the game by the end of the year. Take a look below.
