Dead by Daylight Alien DLC Xenomorph Killer Ellen Ripley Survivor

Dead by Daylight is Getting Alien DLC and Xenomorph Killer

Dead by Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive has revealed the next exciting crossover DLC in the form of the legendary Alien franchise. A teaser trailer was recently released showing the dimly lit corridors of a space station before revealing the Xenomorph as the next killer. It’s also implied that Ellen Ripley, the protagonist of the earlier Alien movies, will be added as a new survivor too.

Dead by Daylight is no stranger to massive crossovers with other popular horror franchises. The game has a history of including major IPs and characters from the video game and movie world including Silent Hill, Scream, Left 4 Dead, Resident Evil, Hellraiser and even Nicolas Cage, among others. For fans, the Alien DLC has been a very long time coming but it looks like it’s finally happening.

As of writing, the Alien DLC for Dead by Daylight doesn’t have an exact release date. However, the trailer points fans to learn more information on 8 August when a presentation will presumably air that offers us all the details. Hopefully this includes the reveal of Ellen Ripley as a survivor, which the community has been requesting for years.

If you want a quick breakdown of the familiar asymmetrical gameplay for Dead by Daylight, Behaviour Interactive provided a description:

“Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer action/horror game where one player takes on the role of a brutal Killer and the other four play as Survivors. As a Killer your goal is to sacrifice as many Survivors as possible. As Survivors your goal is to work together to evade, escape, and most importantly – stay alive.”

In related news, The Conjuring and Insidious director James Wan revealed back in March that he was producing a live-action adaptation of Dead by Daylight. There has been little developments since then on the movie project, though.

Dead by Daylight is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC. Check out the Alien teaser below:
