If you missed the chance to watch Deadpool & Wolverine in cinemas (I did) then you can enjoy it on your couch at home starting today. The film is now available on digital platforms to purchase with rental options limited to certain apps.
If you’re in South Africa, Deadpool & Wolverine can be purchased on Prime Video, Apple TV and Google Play Movies and TV. It costs around R170 depending on the store. You can’t rent the movie on Apple TV or Google Play Movies and TV yet. The digital version of Deadpool & Wolverine also includes the iTunes Extras. These bonus features include deleted scenes, gag reels and behind-the-scenes clips.
Prime Video is offering a special X-Ray Experience feature that isn’t available on other platforms. It includes trivia and Deadpool doodles that are overlayed on the movie as it plays.
We don’t know when Deadpool & Wolverine will land on Disney+. We know the film is expected to release on the streaming platform in the future but there’s currently no date. Given the previous release schedule, Inside Out 2, for example, it might take a month before the film is released on Disney+.
Deadpool & Wolverine was one of 2024’s biggest films grossing $1.3 billion during its cinematic run.
