Death Stranding 2: On The Beach released yesterday and right on schedule, Hideo Kojima’s latest open world action-adventure title received a day one update. The problem is, nobody actually knows what the update is for as no patch notes were released. However, fans have noticed that the patch might’ve introduced some unforeseen supernatural events like flying trains.
The day one patch for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach clocks in at around 380 MB but without any patch notes, it’s hard to tell exactly what was changed or altered. It’s likely that the update was a mere performance adjustment but it seems to have come with a few hitches. Namely, Reddit players discovered that after the patch, trains mysteriously began to fly. Despite the weirdness of the game, we can assure you that this isn’t an intentional part of the experience. Probably.
Kojima Productions hasn’t detailed exactly what the day one patch for Death Stranding 2 entails and we doubt that we’ll ever learn the truth. However, we’ll likely get another quick fix update in the near future to rectify the little issue of the flying trains as it seems to be a glitch (and a hilarious one at that). The trains are usually attached to a monorail system that players can construct, though for some reason, the trains are detaching themselves from the tracks and soaring through the skies.
