Death Stranding 2: On The Beach Review Embargo Revealed

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is one of June’s biggest game releases. Kojima’s latest project will be in your hands on the 26th of June, but if you’re still on the fence about the game, you’ll be able to catch up on reviews just three days before the game’s launch.

According to media who received early access to Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, the review embargo for the game is set for 23 June at 14:00 SAST. This means media have exactly 20 days to run through Death Stranding 2 before sharing thoughts and scores on the game.

20 days is a long time, but Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is likely one big game. I recall reviewing the original game, and the review period was also about three weeks long. We also had to agree to a contract which stated that we would fully complete the game before posting a review. This is likely the same scenario for the sequel.

I will unlikely be reviewing Death Stranding 2: On The Beach myself. I don’t work with Sony and don’t get issued first-party PlayStation game code. However, I have pre-ordered a Collector’s Edition. I scored the original Death Stranding 10/10. It marks one of the very few games I have given a 10 to, and I still think it is a phenomenal experience.

If you’re looking at picking the game up, be sure to check out our pre-order guide here. The fancy Collector’s Edition is currently out of stock, but you can purchase the Deluxe Edition that comes with early access to the game starting on 24 June. Kojima Productions is also set to host a live event this weekend for Death Stranding 2 during the Summer Game Fest, so maybe we’ll see more about the game.

Death Stranding 2: On The Beach is set to launch on 26 June with early access kicking off on 24 June. Watch the latest trailer below.
