Death Stranding Launch Trailer Released and it Looks Fantastic

Hot off the heels of the Death Stranding PC version announcement, Sony and Kojima Productions have released the Death Stranding launch trailer and it looks absolutely fantastic. Hideo Kojima has been teasing the launch trailer for weeks and now we can all watch it over and over again.

The Death Stranding launch trailer (view at the bottom of this article) is still a bit confusing but it shows some interesting plot points and why Sam Bridges (portrayed by Norman Reedus) is walking around with a baby in a jar. Sam needs to rebuild America by connecting people and activating terminals with the help of the aforementioned baby.

The Death Stranding launch trailer features an incredible cast of actors, including Mads Mikkelsen, Léa Seydoux, Margaret Qualley,  Troy Baker, and Lindsay Wagner, with a guest appearance from Guillermo del Toro thrown into the mix as well, combined with some gameplay clips that will still leave you with more questions than answers.

There’s a lot of conversations in the trailer but without any context, it is tough to know exactly what is going on and there are talks about extinction events, America, connecting people, the president, a ghost-like woman and Sam’s mission. The Death Stranding trailer from Kojima Productions and Sony is roughly eight minutes long, which isn’t surprising at all, so grab a cup of coffee or a snack while you watch it.

What is clear, however, is how great the game looks running on the Decima engine (the same one that powers Horizon Zero Dawn) and it is clear that the game is going to be one of those must-have PS4 exclusives when it releases on 8 November 2019. We will have our Death Stranding review up for you tomorrow, 1 November 2019.
