Deathloop Arrives on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus Today

After a year of being a PS5 and PC exclusive, Deathloop is finally launching on Xbox Game Pass today. But wait, there’s more. PlayStation Plus Extra and Deluxe players are also getting the game for free as it lands on the PlayStation Plus Game Catalogue.

There’s even better news for players who have enjoyed Deathloop up to now and for those who are jumping into the game for the first time. Deathloop is getting a huge free update today called The Goldenloop Update which is adding new features to the game as well as new abilities, weapons, upgrades and more.

According to Arkane Studios, the Goldenloop Update introduces new tools and obstacles into the game. First off there’s a weapon called The Halps Prototype which fires disintegrating laser beams that ricochet off surfaces. Players can use a new power in Deathloop now too that lets you confuse enemies into fighting each other. You can also equip new upgrades that earn double trinkets and four upgrades for the Masquerade ability.

The game will also get more challenging to balance these new weapons and upgrades. There are new enemies to face off against that are scattered across the game so you’ll need to learn how these enemies react and master your new techniques to take them down. You could also just stick to whatever you’re doing if it’s working.

Along with the free addition of Deathloop on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus, the game is also getting crossplay support across PlayStation Network, Xbox, Steam, Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store.

You’ll also get cross-purchase across Xbox and PC with cross-save too. So if you have played Deathloop on PC already, you can transfer your save to Xbox.
