Deathloop is a fast-paced first-person shooter from Arkane Lyon. It pits two assassins against each other in a mysterious time loop on an island called Blackreef. We are not sure why these two people are stuck repeating the same day over and over again but the only way to escape the island is to assassinate eight key targets before the day resets. Players will take on each day differently as they learn from their mistakes and triumphs from the previous day.
As they play through each day in Deathloop, players can make use of new skills and try different approaches to each assassination. The game’s emphasis on discovery makes it important for players to gather intel and find new weapons and ways to take down their opponent. Arkane describes the game as;
Deathloop is both a single-player and multiplayer game.
