One question fans have been asking since the announcement of Demon’s Souls back in July is whether or not the PS5 remake will include the infamous 6th Archstone. For those who don’t know, the game is divided up into different areas with the player accessing each one using the different Archstones. In the original game, the 6th Archstone that just sat there without any way to access it. Instead of the ability to walk up to the stone wall and teleport away, this wall was damaged with no use to the player at all. Fans speculated that perhaps the PlayStation 5 Demon’s Souls remake would allow them to visit this land by accessing the stone. However, that is not the case.

According to Lance Mcdonald who is a well-known community modder for the series, in particular, he was the guy that modded the unofficial 60FPS Bloodborne patch, there’s no 6th Archstone in the PS5 remake of Demon’s Souls. According to Lance, while much of the game has remained the same, there’s no extra land to explore.
Lance spilt the beans with some new information claiming that Fractured Mode is present in the game. According to reports, this is a sort of permadeath mode whereas once the player dies, they are dead for good. In addition, Lance claims that Demon’s Souls on PS5 makes use of the same file structure as the original game. Enemies, items and objects are sorted into the exact folder and filename as the original. This is most likely to keep the remake as authentic as possible.
Lance also claims the game went gold back on 24 September 2020. However, there was no big announcement of the game’s completion for some reason.
We are going to have to wait and see what new secrets the PS5 Demon’s Souls remake includes.
