You could be playing Demon’s Souls Remake on your shiny new PS5 later this year as it seems the game may be a launch title. The remake of the From Software game that gave birth to the Dark Souls series was just rated in South Korea. According to Gematsu, Demon’s Souls Remake is now the second PS5 game to receive a rating. The other being Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales which is also confirmed to launch this year.
Previously, games rated in South Korea have had a pattern to release two or three months after approval. This would put the Demon’s Souls remake in line with a late October/early November 2020 release date. It fits perfectly with Sony’s rumoured November launch for the PS5.
According to Gematsu, the From Software classic received a rating in Korea on 13 August 2020. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales a week earlier on 6 August 2020.

All Sony’s first-party exclusives on PS4 received ratings one, two or three months before launch;
The Demon’s Souls Remake was reportedly in development for some time before its announcement in June. It seems it was Sony’s plan from the start to have the game launch on PS5 at the same time as the console releases worldwide.
The game is set to be a direct remake of the classic 2009 release. Of course, players can expect a massive visual overhaul if the trailer is anything to go by. Speaking of the trailer, rewatch it down below;
