Along with the removal of the current season and the addition of new story missions and gear, Bungie promises that the Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen will be packed with new content. The developer showcased the official content roadmap for the season which highlights a few things players can look forward to in the coming months.

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen Event Calendar

Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen will bring with it Battlegrounds which will be the main focus of the content ahead. On 9 February 2021, the first Battleground will launch followed by the next one on 16 February 2021. PvP fans can also look forward to Trials of Osiris which goes live on February 12. However, the developer has not shared whether or not players will get new gear to earn this season or if the loot pool remains untouched.

Other activities in Destiny 2 Season of The Chosen include Iron banner which arrives on 23 February 2021. There’s also a final Battleground which launches on the same day. This Battleground seems to be placed on Mercury which is no longer a planet in the game. We are not sure how Bungie will tackle this rollout of content just yet.

Unfortunately, those of you who were hoping for something bigger to do are out of luck. The new season has no raid and there’s only one new Strike coming our way which only arrives in late March. Players who own the season pass will be able to participate in the Proving Grounds Strike on 23 March 2021. Free-to-play owners can then jump into the activity on 30 March.

Of course, the Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen roadmap also includes a range of exotic quests of which have yet to be shared. We only know that the weapon is built by Tex Mechanica and seems to be a new Stasis weapon. Hopefully, this new exotic weapon quest arrives during the drought between the end of February and the middle of March.
