Destiny 2 Season of The Hunt comes to an end next week as Bungie wraps up the first season in the “Beyond Light” campaign. While Bungie is still trying to figure out how to handle the lack of weapons and gear “sunsetting” issue, the self-published developer will release a Cabal-themed season next. According to GameInformer who accidently published the cover art for the content, players can look forward to new strikes and Cabal-filled battlegrounds in Destiny 2 Season of the Chosen next.

The leaked image which went up on Twitter by accident shows off Zavala standing in front of a massive Cabal. While this may come as a surprise to you, hardcore fans of the Destiny 2 series already confirmed that the upcoming season would relate to Cabal and most importantly, Calus’ daughter (who could be the figure in the header image).
Players have already dug through pages of Destiny 2 lore to discover that Calus’ daughter was mentioned a few times. There was also mention of her during dialogue in the current season. Hopefully, the upcoming Destiny 2 Season of The Chosen will shed some light on the family and most importantly where the Leviathan vanished to at the start of the current expansion.
Bungie will most likely announce the season in the next few hours as it is set to go live next week on 9 February 2021.
