There’s a new gameplay trailer for the upcoming Destiny: Rising mobile game. If you’ve forgotten this existed, I don’t blame you. Netease hasn’t spoken about the game since its initial reveal back in 2023, but the latest trailer is reminding players that the Destiny franchise is coming to mobile.
The trailer isn’t very long or detailed by any means. The one-minute clip shows us a bit of gameplay footage with supers being tossed at Cabal forces and some exotic weapons being shot at the Vex. We also get a look at some of the environments in the game.
From a visual perspective, Destiny: Rising does look rather stunning. The game has seemingly brought the franchise to life on mobile, and it will be interesting to see how it runs on Android and iPhone devices.
The trailer also confirms that Destiny: Rising is getting a closed beta next week. It says that users should sign up for a chance to play the mobile game while, at the same time, they can pre-register and “pre-order” the game on the App Store (no Google Play store sign-ups yet).
The listing is now live on the App Store. The game has a release date of 31 August, but that is just a placeholder date. Netease has not announced an official release date yet.
If you’re interested in this game, be sure to head to the official website to pre-register. Netease is offering rewards for users who contribute to the registrations. At 10 million players, you’ll get an exotic ornament for a gun. Other rewards include Glimmer and other in-game currency.
Pre-registering does require you to choose the device you have as well as answering a short survey which “might” increase the chance of getting beta access next week.
Visit the App Store here to pre-order the game ahead of its launch. Visit the official site here to pre-register for rewards and beta access.
