Black Forest and THQ accidently announced a Destroy All Humans 2 Remake titled “Reprobed“. The announcement came out of nowhere after Sony uploaded the reveal trailer on Twitter by mistake. However, the news doesn’t surprise us as THQ has been teasing a remake of the second game for a few months now. This being after the original remake that was released in 2020 turned out to be a massive success.
The Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed trailer hasn’t been officially uploaded to YouTube yet by either THQ or PlayStation. Sony has also deleted the tweets announcing the game. Thankfully, this is the internet and you can’t get away with this sort of thing without people spotting it. YouTubers grabbed the trailer and uploaded it themselves.
If the reveal trailer is anything to go by, Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed is a direct remake of the original game. The original game was released on PS2 and Xbox and is set ten years after the events of the first adventure.
Destroy All Humans 2 included a range of gameplay improvements over the original. There were new weapons to murder humans with, larger open-world hubs to explore and co-op multiplayer. This co-op let players experience the entire campaign with a friend while also offering mini-games to participate in.
We don’t know when the official announcement for Destroy All Humans 2 Reprobed is meant to take place. The leaked trailer also didn’t mention any platforms. The game will most likely release in 2022 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. I won’t bank on a last-gen version of the game until it is confirmed. Check out the trailer down below.
