Publisher Devolver Digital has confirmed its own summer event scheduled to take place on 7 June. Several publishers, including Xbox and Ubisoft, have already announced their plans to host gaming showcases in the annual time frame usually occupied by the now-defunct E3. Geoff Keighley has since taken the calendar space with his own Summer Game Fest. It looks like the season of gaming events is about to ramp up.
Devolver Digital, known for publishing several games including Hotline Miami, Cult of the Lamb and My Friend Pedro (among many others), has confirmed that will host its own showcase about three hours after the main Summer Game Fest event on 7 June. We can probably expect more game reveals from smaller developers as well as Devolver Digital’s, well, very unique style of hosting showcases.
This year’s Devolver Digital showcase will be comedically themed again and feature the company’s fictional mascot, Volvy.
You’re invited to Volvy’s 15th Birthday Party.

Microsoft will host its own Xbox Games Showcase on 9 June that includes an in-depth look at the recently-announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Previous reports claim that we’ll also see a reveal for Gears 6 as well as new looks (and release dates) for Avowed, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and Indiana Jones and The Great Circle.
Ubisoft will host its next Forward event on 10 June with the first gameplay for Assassin’s Creed Shadows and more titles like Star Wars Outlaws.
Finally, there’s the centrepiece event of the summer: Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest which will kick off festivities on 7 June and feature over 55 publishers and developers from across the industry including PlayStation, Xbox, Bandai Namco, Sega, Ubisoft, WB Games, EA Games, Annapurna Interactive, Riot Games, Private Division and much more.
