Last week, Nintendo officially blew the lid open on the Nintendo Switch 2, the company’s next-gen console and successor to the original Switch. However, there hasn’t been any announcements yet regarding confirmed games for the system apart from the first look at a potential new Mario Kart game from the reveal trailer. Rumours are now circulating about possible third-party titles heading to the system and it looks like Diablo 4 and Starfield are apparently also on the list.
The leak comes from known leaker extas1s who claims that Diablo 4 and Starfield will be heading to the Nintendo Switch 2. Those aren’t the only titles that the leaker mentioned as Fallout 4, an unknown Call of Duty game (likely Black Ops 6), Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Elden Ring are also being planned for the new hardware.
However, this is the first time that we’ve heard about Diablo 4 and Starfield potentially appearing on the Switch 2, while the others appeared in previous leaks, rumours or speculation. Starfield is particularly interesting as the game has yet to leave the confines of Xbox Series X/S and PC as an exclusive. If it does appear on the Switch 2, there’s also a good chance that Microsoft and Bethesda will port the sci-fi RPG over to PS5 at some point too.
Last week, a leak from PhBrazil claimed that a lot of Microsoft games were in the works for Switch 2. Since Microsoft owns Diablo 4 developer Blizzard Entertainment as well as Starfield studio Bethesda Game Studios, this aligns with the previous rumour.
Elsewhere, we also got potential leaks for Tekken 8 and Red Dead Redemption 2 appearing on the Switch 2 as well as ports for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater and several Ubisoft games, including Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We’ll have to wait for confirmation from Nintendo about all these reports so take everything with a grain of salt for now.
