Blizzard Entertainment has announced a new developer livestream for Diablo 4 set to take place this week Thursday, 6 July which will offer more details on season 1 of the game. The game launched earlier last month to positive reviews, though it has since been criticised for its poor implementation of microtransactions and numerous server issues that have prevented players from getting into the game due to its restrictive always-online requirement.
Blizzard aims to address some quality of life improvements for Diablo 4 in the upcoming livestream as well as a closer look at the game’s season 1 content. The livestream will be hosted by game director Joseph Piepiora and lead game producer Timothy Ismay. Fans can tune into the stream this Thursday at 7pm GMT or 9pm CAT to find out what they can expect in the first season, hopefully with details on the game’s battle pass as well.

Diablo 4, much like its predecessor Diablo 3, will feature a quarterly annual rotation of seasons that come with new quests, balance changes, extra features, items, cosmetics and more. Players will have to create a new character at the beginning of each season if they wish to take part in its content but thankfully you will be given an option to skip playing through the main campaign all over again, as long as you completed it once.
In related news, Blizzard recently promised that it will implement big changes to Diablo 4‘s gems and renown. The game managed to earn $666 million in five days since launch, making it Blizzard’s most successful game to date.
