Players will be able to pick up where they left off in Diablo II Resurrected thanks to a save data import feature. This means that when the awesome-looking remake release later this year, if you have been playing the old-school game, you can import your character and gear and just carry on killing the demons of Hell.
For many, this news may be a reason to head back to the original and play it a few times over. Perhaps getting a few characters ready for the release of Diablo II Resurrected is time well-spent. However, for hardcore players who still have their original saves with all their original grinded gear and currency, this is fantastic news too.

Players who no longer play on PC will also be able to take their original saves across from the Diablo II game and move them to PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch. This is thanks to the game’s cross-save system that does not limit players to a specific platform. This means you can play the game on PC now by purchasing it on the Blizzard Store and take your character over to PS5 when the time comes. It is quite a fantastic feature.
But when is the game launching?. Who knows? Blizzard has not shared any details on the Diablo II Resurrected release date nor have they given us any sort of window. We only know that the game is planned to release this year. Let’s just hope it stays that way.
