We know that this week at The Game Awards Blizzard will announce the Diablo IV release date. However, earlier reports claimed the game would release in May and now it seems that Diablo IV will only launch in June. According to a leaked listing on the Microsoft Store, Diablo 4 will launch on 6 June 2023.
The release date, while being later than expected, doesn’t come as a surprise. Blizzard originally stated that the studio was aiming for a 2023 release window and while we all expected March or April, the June release date falls around the time the Microsoft and Activision deal is set to close.
According to the leak, the game is also currently sitting at 80GB but this will likely change before the launch. The listing does state 5 June at 23:00 but that likely means 6 June due to time zone differences.

Other reports earlier this week claimed that Diablo 4 would ship with a Collector’s Edition that features some sort of black candle replica. There’s also a range of pre-order incentives for those who pre-purchase the game before the launch.
Of course, while this listing does come from the Microsoft Store itself, take it all with a pinch of salt until we see the official news at The Game Awards on Friday morning. Anything can change ahead of the announcement. You can tune into The Game Awards starting on 9 December at 02:00 CAT.
