Diablo IV Will “Advance The Art of The Action RPG”

Activision is hoping that the upcoming Diablo IV will have the same impact on the action RPG genre as the original game did back in the day. In a recent conference call for investors and industry analysts, Activision Blizzard chief operating officer Daniel Alegre spoke about the upcoming games. This included Diablo IV, Diablo 2: Resurrected, and Diablo Immortal.

Alegre mentioned that all three games are set out to expand and delight the community, even exceeded their expectations. When speaking about Diablo 2: Resurrected, Alegre says that the remake will bring a true gaming classic to the modern gaming world and allow new and returning fans to enjoy it.

Diablo: Immortal is also on its own path to deliver an “authentic” version of Diablo to mobile devices. As for Diablo IV, Alegre says that the game is looking fantastic. In addition, he says that the next title will “advance the art of the action-RPG genre” to new levels. In short, set the bar for games to come.

We still have some time to go before these new games are in our hands. However, both Diablo: Immortal and Diablo 2: Resurrected should be on the way sooner than Diablo IV. Blizzard is expected to release the mobile game sometime this year. It is currently in its second round of alpha testing. As for Diablo 2: Resurrected, the game also just had its first alpha test with another expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
