Dinosaur Action Game Instinction Receives Funding and Ramps Up Development

Hashbane Interactive, the studio behind the upcoming prehistoric action-adventure game Instinction has received an investment from Hillfarrance. The studio says that after two months of discussions with the company, Hillfarrance has granted Hashbane Interactive a substantial pre-seed investment enabling the studio to bring on new staff including 2D and 3D artists, animators and more.

Hashbane Interactive has also begun the process of outsourcing studio hands to help bring Instinction to life. All of this would not have been possible without the help of Hillfarrance, an investment group based in New Zealand that is responsible for multiple successful investments in the past.

For those who don’t know, Instinction is a pretty awesome looking upcoming dinosaur game. We reported on the title last year when Hashbane Interactive released the first trailer for the game. It aims to merge the horror genre with action-adventure to bring about a new take on the whole dinosaur shooter experience.

Players are thrown into a deadly world where dinosaurs walk the earth and have to solve puzzles, explore vast locations and survive through the horrors that await them. Instead of being overpowered and full of guns, players are instead fragile and represent a real person. This means they will have to explore carefully to avoid being snapped up by a dinosaur and every encounter means life or death.

Instinction is also built on Unreal Engine 4 and from what we have seen so far, the game looks gorgeous (if gorgeous is a word to describe deadly dinosaurs walking around). The world definitely brings the atmosphere to life as the studio aims to reinvent the genre and deliver a definitive dinosaur game that is remembered for generations to come.

Catch up on the trailer below. You can also stay up-to-date on the game’s development by following the studio on Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and the official site. You can also visit the game on Steam today. Instinction is set to launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
