First off The Mandalorian. Season 3 will debut on Disney+ in February 2023. The third season has been a long time coming. Season two was released way back in October 2020 and fans have been asking for more ever since. Thankfully, Disney+ released The Book of Boba Fett to fill the gap as Mando and Grogu both appeared during the show.
According to the executive producer Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian Season 3 will see Mando finally head to Mandalore, the home planet of the Mandalorians. Mando is now in search of forgiveness. Favreau says fans should expect to see some familiar faces in the new season.
As for Ando, the show sees Diego Luna reprise his role as Cassian Andor from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. The show will hit Disney+ on 31 August. Disney hasn’t shared much when it comes to the show’s details. However, we know the show will be 12 episodes long and take place five years before the events of Rogue One.
The official site details the sh0w:
The Andor series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian Andor’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.
To further add to the ongoing Star Wars universe on Disney+, there’s a new show coming our way called Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. It stars Jude Law and is expected to land in 2023.
The show is targeted at kids but like all things Disney, age is just a number. It is being created by Jon Watts and Chris Ford who previously worked together on Spider-Man: Homecoming. Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are also working on the project. Filoni says the show is as much for kids as The Clone Wars. However, no other details have been shared yet.
Indiana Jones is also returning for a fifth movie. Disney released the first image for the film which is actually almost complete. It stars Harrison Ford back in his legendary role. The film originally started shooting last year and wrapped up production in February this year. However, fans will have to wait a bit longer to watch it. Indiana Jones 5 is only scheduled to release on 3 June 2023.
