Disney Dreamlight Valley is a new ambitious project by the megacorporation that aims to merge Animal Crossing gameplay with dozens of Disney franchises to deliver a large-scale adventure game. The game is a blend of life sim and adventure set in a new Disney world where other universes have collided together. It packs your favourite Disney characters across TV and film including Belle, Wall-E, Woody, Mickey and more.
Players can customize their own character with a bunch of gear in Disney Dreamlight Valley. This includes wearing costumes, changing hair, skin eye colour and more. The game will also feature a range of unique outfits inspired by TV and film.

Once you have your character ready, you can then head off into the various biomes across the world. There are snow-capped mountains, farmlands, forests and other cool-looking locations to live in. Players will then set up their own homes and slowly grow into a village. Mostly everything can be customized and new items and customization options unlock as you meet new Disney characters and complete their quests.
Speaking of quests, players will meet dozens of well-known faces in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Each Disney character will have their own questline to complete that spans unique gameplay. Remy from Ratatouille is a chef and players can cook with him. You can go fishing with Goofy and Wall-E has a farm you can help tend.
While you’re doing all of this, there’s also an overarching story in Disney Dreamlight Valley. An event called The Forgetting has taken place and caused the village to be shrouded in darkness and thorns. As players complete quests, Disney characters will start to regain their memories and the land will heal.
Disney Dreamlight Valley is also a live-service game so new areas, characters and updates will arrive during the game’s life. It is expected to be fully released in 2023 on PC, Mac, Switch, PlayStation, Switch and Xbox but will enter early access in the coming months for Xbox. This early access is unlocked by purchasing the founder’s pack. More details on that pack will be announced soon.
