Disney is happy to announce that the much anticipated South African launch of Disney+ will take place on 18 May 2022. The streaming service will roll out across 42 new countries over the next few months and South Africa is on that list. The service will be priced at R119 per month in South Africa or R1,190 for an annual subscription.
At launch, subscribers will have access to a plethora of Disney content to binge on. This includes the likes of The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Moon Knight, Shang Chi and many more.

Disney also says that subscribers will also be able to enjoy Disney and Pixar Academy Award Winning Encanto and Cruella and the nominated film Luca.
Not only is Disney+ packed with Disney and Marvel content but the streaming service also boasts other FOX and National Geographic shows. This includes The Simpsons, Queens, The Kardashians and both seasons of The World According to Jeff Goldblum.
Disney+ offers access to high-quality viewing up to four concurrent streams, unlimited downloads on up to ten devices, and the ability to set up to seven different profiles, including the ability for parents to set Kids Profiles that have an easy-to-navigate, child-friendly interface to access age-appropriate content.
