DJI Flip Drone Announced For Those Who Don’t Drone

DJI has announced a unique new drone for photographers and newcomers who might be scared to dive into the world of droning. The DJI Flip looks like a bicycle when folded up. You can then unfold it and launch the drone into the air from your hand with a single button. It then lands on your hand when you’re done.

The DJI Flip is controlled using joysticks and captures high-quality photos and videos. Higher quality than the direct competition. The DJI Flip is set to retail for $439, making it a tough competitor in the market. In terms of the specs, the drone includes increased stability, ease of use, and a battery life of 31 minutes.

The camera on the drone is a 4K/60 sensor with a 48-megapixel lens. It can record 2.7K video with 10-bit HDR in D-log format. There’s also a feature to record 4K/100FPS slow-motion captures. The drone weighs 249 grams, has a 13KM transmission, and 2GB of internal storage.

Of course, the DJI Flip comes with all the cool movement shots that the brand is known for. Drone, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, Helix, and Boomerang will give you quick and easy ways to create cool content with a single tap. DJI Flip also includes intelligent features like FocusTrack, QuickShots, MasterShots, and Hyperlapse.

The DJI Flip is now available to order in the United States. There’s no word of a local launch yet or any sort of South African pricing. We’ll update you when we hear more. You can read more about the product on the website.
