Marvel Studios has been building up to the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness for some time now. The film is a culmination of all the events up to this point that stem from Wandavision, Loki and even the latest Spider-Man: No Way Home. It is also the first Marvel movie to fully embrace the Multiverse and put it on show for viewers to see and try and understand. The latest Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness not only gives us a glimpse at things to come but there’s a lot happening in the teaser that makes us very excited for the film.

Marvel Studios announced that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is set to release on 6 May 2022. The teaser trailer kicks off with some dialogue from the latest Spider-Man: No Way Home. We can hear Wong telling Strange not to cast the spell that caused Peter’s world to fall apart around him. We then hear Mordo telling Strange that his desecration of reality will not go unpunished. We don’t know if Mordo is referring to Strange’s Spider-Man spell or something else.

Strange is then seen walking into New York City but the city is a mess. Buildings are folding into one another and the Multiverse has clearly taken over. This could also be a whole new dimension. Perhaps the Mirror Dimension. There are some very quick scenes that flash during the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer. We see Wanda ready to cast some spells and Christine Palmer at a wedding walking down the aisle. She is seemingly walking past Strange. She is alive at least but Strange has lost her?

Then there’s also an “evil” doctor Strange who is clearly a bad guy here. He is darker and more sinister than the Strange we know. We definitely know that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will feature more than one Strange but how they will tie into the movie is still unclear. Check out the teaser trailer below.
