Samsung made waves this week with its announcement of their new Samsung Galaxy S10 5G phone. It is one of the world’s first 5G supported devices and it promises network speeds of up to 20 times faster than 4G.
In SA, we still have Edge and 3G without 4G support in some areas so don’t get too excited for 5G just yet. While America is yet to fully implement 5G, Donald Trump thinks that 6G is actually a real thing, because of course, he does.

In a rant tweet, Trump went on to shout at the world as he usually does saying that he wants 5G and even 6G as soon as possible. The demanding President of the United States clearly has no clue that 6G is at least a decade away and his demands look more ignorant than actually factual.
want 5G, and even 6G, technology in the United States as soon as possible. It is far more powerful, faster, and smarter than the current standard. American companies must step up their efforts, or get left behind. There is no reason that we should be lagging behind on………
In his second tweet, Trump goes on to encourage the implementation of 6G by saying that the United States should not block out any advanced technology and should always be the leader in everything they do. It is just a pity that no one does 6G yet, Trump.
Of course, no one knows more than Donald Trump as this video clearly shows below;

….something that is so obviously the future. I want the United States to win through competition, not by blocking out currently more advanced technologies. We must always be the leader in everything we do, especially when it comes to the very exciting world of technology!

While the development of 5G technology is in full swing, it will be a few more years until it is a mainstream feature of smartphones and network providers. Locally, Rain is apparently working on their own 5G tech but we will have to have the devices to support it. As for Donald Trump, someone should let him know about 6G.
