DOOM: Annihilation – The Movie No One Asked For Gets a Release Date

DOOM: Annihilation, the movie that follows the classic DOOM video game series has a release date and trailer. We will let you judge it all for yourself.

DOOM: Annihilation is not releasing in cinema at all this time around and it is going straight to video. You will be able to watch it online through Apple TV or other streaming providers when the film lands on 1 October 2019.

The upcoming film follows the story of scientists who have found a portal that allows teleportation throughout the universe. Of course, they just happen to open a rift to the depths of hell and loads of demons come streaming out of it with the thirst for blood. Sounds like a typical DOOM plot if there was any.

The film was written and directed by Tony Giglio who worked on Resident Evil: Afterlife and S.W.A.T: Under Siege. It stars Amy Manson, Louis Mandylor and more.

By the look of the trailer, don’t get your hopes up for anything out of this world. It already has cliche lines like “die, die, die” and some terrible-looking gunfights. We would love to assure you the film is going to be great but this 32-second trailer feels like it is hiding the ugliness away by trying to keep it short and sweet.

If you want some real DOOM action then DOOM: Eternal will be the answer. Bethesda’s upcoming shooter was one of the best games I played at E3 2019 and you can read all about it here.
