DOOM Eternal PC Requirements, Day One Update and File Size Revealed

DOOM Eternal is almost here. Releasing on 20 March 2020, the game is one of the most anticipated games of this month. As we get closer to the game’s release, more details are being discovered about Doom Eternal shooter including frame rate, install size,  the day one update and PC requirements.

The DOOM Eternal day one update will put the game version on 1.01 and come in at roughly 5.1GB. The game requires around 37GB of storage space to install in the first place on PS4, Xbox One and PC. As for the patch notes, those have not been released yet but expect them to just fix a few bugs.

As for the DOOM Eternal PC requirements, they are quite hefty with the minimum GPU recommended being the GTX 970 or GTX 1060. This is in order to run the game at 1080p at 60FPS on “low-quality settings”. Take a look at the DOOM Eternal PC requirements down below;

  • Additional Notes: (1440p / 60 FPS / High Quality Settings)

 

Clearly, in order to get the best experience on DOOM Eternal on PC, you would need some high-end hardware as even the recommended specs are running the game at 1440p. It has also been confirmed by Bethesda that DOOM Eternal will run at 60FPS on all consoles excluding the Nintendo Switch at this time. Billy Khan, a developer at id Software revealed the details on Twitter stating that PS4, PS4 Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X will all run the game at 60FPS. However, expect resolutions to vary across the console family especially on the base PS4 and Xbox One S.
