It is the year of DOOM with the franchise’s 25th anniversary and Bethesda didn’t pull any punches at their press conference at this year’s E3, showcasing new DOOM Eternal gameplay, a story trailer and a release date for their upcoming shooter. Created by id Software and Bethesda, DOOM Eternal will take the iconic FPS franchise to the next level if the new gameplay is anything to go by. I, for one, can’t wait for the game to release on 22 November 2019.

Bethesda showcased some brutal gameplay as everyone’s favourite silent protagonist, the DOOM Slayer, took out hordes of demons and performed those gore-filled glory kills we all love so much. To quote the DOOM Twitter account: “What you interfere with now is bigger than you can imagine.” First, check out the story trailer for DOOM Eternal, not that the story has ever been the big draw of the DOOM franchise, but it is nice to have.

DOOM Eternal will feature an all-new multiplayer experience called Battlemode, where two players take control of two powerful demons, while one player takes on the role of the DOOM Slayer.

DOOM Eternal will release on 22 November 2019 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
