DOOM The Dark Ages Announced 2025 Xbox Game Pass Showcase

DOOM: The Dark Ages Announced – Coming 2025 to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC

Following a string of previous rumours and reports, Bethesda and developer id Software have officially unveiled DOOM: The Dark Ages at tonight’s Xbox Games Showcase. The long-awaited follow-up to 2020’s DOOM Eternal is coming in 2025 to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC as well as day one on Xbox Game Pass.

The reveal trailer for DOOM: The Dark Ages transports the Doom Slayer to what looks like the medieval ages. Equipped with his iconic shotgun and a new shield that doubles as a chainsaw (we’re not joking), the Slayer must battle familiar enemies who have been given a bit of an update as well as mechs and dragons. It’s crazy, over-the-top and distinctly DOOM. We can’t wait to get our hands on the game when it arrives in 2025.

“In the first age, in the first battle, when the shadows first lengthened, one stood,” reads the official description posted by id Software.

Strangely enough, there was no mention of a PS5 version at the showcase itself, though the official Twitter/X account for DOOM confirmed that it will indeed be coming to PS5:
