Dota 2 Collector’s Cache Unleashed by Valve

Dota 2 Battle Pass owners have voted for their favourites out of the 83 community-created items and after the results were counted, Valve released the Collector’s Cache with the top 18 treasures. For the most part, they look pretty great but I wish my personal favourite, that Broodmother with tentacles, got in. However, Slark did get in so at least there is that and every cosmetic item in the Collector’s Cache does look great.

If you update Dota 2 right now with roughly a 500mb download, you will see the Collector’s Cache in the main menu. Even if you own a level 1000 Battle Pass, you don’t get any of these treasures for free and will have to purchase them at R36 each. There are a total of 15 normal treasures and then three rare ones that will probably cost a lot to get, or some very good luck.

In a new blog post, Valve explains that:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#33ffe9″ class=”” size=”22″] The final votes have been tallied and The International 2019 Collector’s Cache is now available, loaded with the top 18 item sets as voted on by the Dota 2 community.

Unboxing 15 treasures will automatically grant you 36 Battle Levels, and the odds of receiving a bonus rare item will increase with each treasure you open. You can also recycle any unwanted items for 2 Battle Levels. The 2019 Cache is available for $2.49 and will only be on sale for 30 days.

This will be the only way to acquire these exclusive items, except for the ultra rare Rubick item, which will be marketable towards the end of 2020 after next year’s International concludes. Each purchase contributes 25% of sales directly to The International prize pool. [/perfectpullquote]

Opening one treasure grants you 2500 Battle Points, while opening 8 grants you an additional 6500 Battle points. Then, after you’ve opened 15 treasures, you get 27000 Battle Points. Each treasure can also be recycled for 2000 Battle Points.

What do you think about the Collector’s Cache and which item do you want to get the most? Mine is most definitely Slark’s one. Let us know in the comment section below.
